Blue Offshore was contracted by Petrolog to provide equipment and crew to install subsea power cables in Block O, offshore Angola, waterdepth 30-80m. Operations were carried out in two separate campaigns from December 2022 till January 2023 and in June 2024. The Normand Energy, contracted by Chevron Angola.
Blue Offshore provided engineering and management, and Loading Tower 02 incl Tens-05 (15Te), and a deck tensioner Tens-04 (10Te)LT-02 was positioned between two static tanks o/b Normand Energy, with the loading arm able to access each tank for direct cable access 4 power cables have been installed in December 2022 – January 2023, and 2 power cables installed in June 2024 with a standby period at Sonils Port. The total length of these 6 power cables combined is approx. 25 km. Blue Offshore also provided input on the HLV delivery/redelivery.
