Blue Offshore has successfully completed a 3-phase project for Baker Hughes, involving the transpooling of 6×14” ID flexible flowlines with a total length of approx. 20 km in Newcastle/Port of Blyth.
To support this project, Blue Offshore engineered, built, and operated a modular Loading Tower (LT-03) with a 15-ton line pull tensioner, certified by Lloyd’s Register The tower was designed to be transported by road and fast set-up, enabling cost-effective mob/demob from NL to UK and return on multiple campaigns.
The LT-03 was transported in five trucks and assembled on-site (3 times in June 2023, February 2024 and July 2024). The design included a pivotable upper tensioner track, allowing the safe handling of flexible flowlines with end fittings.
