We are now looking for an Commercial / Tender Manager to join our team.

Position Overview

The Commercial / Tender Manager is responsible for coordinating commercial activities, tender processes and client proposals within Blue Offshore.

In this role, you manage the tender process from enquiry to submission. You coordinate input from internal departments, approach the market for subcontractor input and prepare clear, competitive bid documentation in line with company objectives and client requirements.

You act as a key link between clients, subcontractors and internal teams during the tender and pre-award phase. This includes supporting commercial evaluations, contract reviews, clarification processes and the handover to the project team after contract award.

This role combines commercial insight, technical understanding and structured coordination. You help Blue Offshore identify project opportunities, maintain strong commercial relationships and turn client enquiries into practical and well-prepared proposals.

Main Responsibilities

Commercial Management

  • Manage commercial activities related to tenders, budget requests and client enquiries;
  • Coordinate pre-bid Sales & Marketing activities;
  • Support commercial evaluation of project opportunities;
  • Prepare and coordinate commercial proposals in line with company objectives;
  • Support contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors.

Tender Management

  • Coordinate tender processes from receipt of enquiry to submission;
  • Ensure timely collection of input from internal departments, including technical, operational, legal and insurance;
  • Approach market for subcontractor input for tender preparation;
  • Prepare bid documentation and supporting commercial information;
  • Prepare handover to project team after contract award.

Contract and Client Support

  • Support review of contracts and charter parties from commercial perspective;
  • Act as focal point for client communication during tender phase;
  • Support clarification processes internally and with clients during tender stages.

Reporting line

The Commercial / Tender Manager reports to the Managing Director.

Authority

  • Conduct commercial communication with clients and subcontractors within assigned scope;
  • Support contract preparation and review.

Competence

Profile Education

  • Preferably degree qualified in commercial management, business studies, engineering or equivalent.

Experience

  • Minimum 5–10 years experience in maritime, offshore or marine contracting environment;
  • Technical background in offshore contracting;
  • Familiarity with commercial contract frameworks;

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and commercial mindset;
  • Proactive and practical approach;
  • Good communication and coordination skills;
  • Able to represent Blue Offshore towards clients and partners;
  • Good command of English, written and spoken;
  • Computer literate (MS Office, maintenance and project management tools);
  • Driving License (B);
  • Willingness to travel where required;
