We are now looking for a Tender Engineer to join our team.
Position Overview
The Tender Engineer prepares tenders, supports negotiations and contributes to project activities as part of the project team. This role requires flexibility, a proactive can-do attitude and the ability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities
- Review invitation to tender documents from clients and define the bid approach together with the Commercial Manager;
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts and maintain supplier relationships;
- Prepare tender documents aligned with customer requirements and coordinate all internal and external elements;
- Coordinate the handover to the project team after successful tenders and become part of the project as Project Engineer where required;
- Work with project and operational teams to design and engineer detailed solutions that satisfy specific bid requirements;
- Liaise with legal and contracts teams to ensure contractual terms and conditions are prepared, collated and approved as part of the tender submission;
- Monitor market developments, clients, competition, expected tenders and related opportunities;
- Support the marketing team with presentations, social media, exhibitions, website content and related activities.
Reporting Lines
- Managing Director;
- Project Manager;
- Finance Manager.
Integrated Management System (IMS)
- Take ownership of and maintain allocated IMS documents and IMS procedures;
- Interact as necessary with the owners of other related IMS documents and IMS procedures.
Competence
Education
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in a technical field.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Skills
- Strong analytical skills;
- Negotiation abilities;
- Strong communication skills;
- Good command of English;
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and direction;
- Technical and practical understanding of engineering, procurement, construction and installation methods and techniques as applicable to subsea cable laying;
- Track record in an offshore or subsea related project environment;
- Flexibility to travel abroad.
